The very talented Michaela Bayerlova of Czech Republic overcame last year Champion and local starlet Malene Helgø of Norway in a thrilling three sets finals on Sunday in Sandefjord,Norway 57 63 63. The 2019 edition of the Norwegian Open had a very strong draw including the incredible talented 16 year old World no1 junior in Clara Tausen from Denmark who was beaten by Susan Lames from the Holland in the quarterfinals of the championship.
The Norwegians Malene Helgø and Pepperdine University bound Astrid Brune Olsen successfully defended their doubles title from 2018 beating Lamens and Melgers.
